Newcom to sign books at Wartburg, Waldorf Colleges in October

Forest City, Iowa – Joy M. Newcom will sign copies of her memoir, “Involuntary Joy: A Story of Unexpected Rebirth,” at Waldorf College where Newcom is an instructor in public relations and at Wartburg College, her alma mater. She will again be joined by her son, Stross, whose life shapes the book’s story.
Both events are held in conjunction with each college’s homecoming observance. The Waldorf College, Forest City, Iowa, book signing will be held in the Luise V. Hanson Library from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, and the Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa, book signing will be held at the college’s bookstore from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.
“Involuntary Joy” can be ordered through Amazon.com or involuntaryjoy.com. It is also carried in 10 independent bookstores in north Iowa. A listing of stores as well as other resources related to the book’s content can be found at www.involuntaryjoy.com.
“Involuntary Joy” was released in July 2007 with an initial printing of 500 copies.
